The Woods of Ivanhoe is located in central Lake County. Thorngate Drive winds from the Highway 176 entrance gate to the clubhouse of the Ivanhoe Club. Seven cul-de-sacs, six off Thorngate Drive and one off Spyglass Circle, make up the rest of the streets in the community. Many of the custom homes have views of the fairways of the Forest Nine course. At any given time, a few homes and an occasional vacant lot are listed for sale.
Recent community improvements include:
- Resurface asphalt and repair curbs on all roads except Thorngate Drive
- Repair Highway 176 entrance stonework and restore fountain operation
- Install decorative posts for new stop signs
- Replace street name signs; high visibility signs include the Ivanhoe logo
- Upgrade plantings of all seven cul-de-sac islands with roses, perennials, and ornamental grasses
- Standardize mailboxes to an upgraded post and box
